How to you access public court records online for free in Alabama?

Dez asked:

I tried to find the public record data base, but there are so many scams out there that want to charge you to access public court records. I am not sure about Alabama, but in my state you can access this information online, anytime, free of charge.

You would likely be able to find it on the county state or superior court clerk’s website, at least for civil cases, if they have one. They probably don’t include the actual documents, but you could see the calendar on a case and any submitted filings by name.

Not all states have placed court records on-line. You need to call down to Alabama and see if they are on-line.

not everything is online for free in all states and i’d be unsurprised to find out that Alabama is one of them.

why should the state spend tax money to allow foreigners to browse their records for free?
